Corbin Bernsen, President and Founder, Public Film Works a division of Public Media Works

Best known as shrewd divorce attorney Arnie Becker in the Emmy Award winning television series "LA LAW," and his roles in all three "Major League" films, Corbin originally developed the concept of a "People’s Studio" in the late 90’s. After years of promoting a long list of film and television projects that he acted in, he noticed a growing trend: more and more "common folk" either wanted to know more about the entertainment business and the processes involved, and/or wanted direct access – to become "involved" themselves. That combined with what he began to recognize as extremely dedicated fan bases for various actors, television shows and genres, as well as the community building capabilities of the rapidly developing Internet, the seeds for Public Film Works were sown. While he continues to have a strong presence in both film and television, (his new television series "Psych" – not a Public Media Works project – now airs on the USA Network) he continues to maintain a "hands on approach," and develop and grow the film production company he founded in 2000. Public Film Works is now a division of Public Media Works.
