Continuing its tradition of groundbreaking and innovative project development, Publicmediaworks is proud to announce its plans for “3 Day Test.”
In partnership with Kipling Film Productions and Angel Entertainment based in Saskatchewan, Canada, the film will be shot in a way that is thought to be a first.
The small town of Kipling, Canada – population 1140 – most recently known for it’s historic participation in the One Red Paperclip phenomenon, under the guidance of Publicmediawork’s CEO Corbin Bernsen, has created a film funding company called Kipling Film Productions for the purpose of financing a slate of films primarily with PMW. The first of these films is the Christmas Comedy “3 Day Test” a project that has been with PMW for several years. “I’ve had this film around for 10 years now, and finally, I think it’s found it’s time and place,” Bernsen stated recently.
What makes this project truly unique is that the towns will not only fund the film, but also 90% of the talent in the movie will be from Kipling, and the movie will be shot in Kipling entirely. Add to that local trades participation from set construction to make-up, wardrobe and catering, this is truly a community-based project that fits perfectly into Publicmediaworks mission of creating unique projects with great marketing potential.
The project is not yet in production and no date has been scheduled to start
production – it is the intention of Publicmediaworks to introduce an early version of its interactive “Virtual Studio” via the 3 Day Test Website. The concept here is to enable the entire town of Kipling – whose project this truly is – along with anyone else who visits the site - to participate is a series of “choices” or votes as to certain elements of the film from set decorations, to wardrobe, props and even editing options. The site will also post daily footage during production, press coverage and all relevant updates. In the end, the town of Kipling will have full access to the production and to some degree, a say in its direction.
